My name is Solomon Hanson, co-founder of Hanson Caregiving Consulting Services and curator of LifeJourney Chronicles.
While caring for my mother, I developed a strong commitment to pursuing a career in elderly care, alongside a deep passion for academic writing. However, it was my enduring love for storytelling and the diverse life experiences I have encountered, both personally and through others, that ultimately inspired the creation of LifeJourney Chronicles.
For me, caregiving and storytelling are connected by one purpose: healing. Caregiving eases physical burdens, while storytelling uplifts the spirit and strengthens resilience. Caregiving is at the heart of what I do. In the same way that caregivers support lives with compassion, LifeJourney Chronicles supports the soul with inspiration. Both arms of my work serve one purpose: to nurture, strengthen, and guide people through life’s toughest moments. LifeJourney Chronicles was born from this belief—that words can comfort, guide, and empower people through their struggles.
Through this platform, I weave stories drawn from the intricate tapestry of human experiences, particularly within African contexts, but with lessons that resonate universally. My mission is simple yet profound: to motivate, inspire, and remind people that no matter how heavy their past may feel, their story is not over. LifeJourneyChronicles is more than a collection of stories—it is a movement of hope, strength, and renewal.

“Caregiving is a labor of love. Whether you give care to a parent, child, relative or it is your career, the value and the rewards are unmeasurable.” Erika Essie
I, like many in my generation (the sandwich generation) fell into caregiving. I was newly divorced and a single parent when suddenly my dad passed away.
My mom’s life, my life and the lives of my children were instantly changed as we had to navigate uncharted waters in order to provide in-home care to my mom who was suffering from issues with her mobility at that time. As her condition worsened, I took on a role that I was completely unfamiliar and actually very nervous about.
Overnight, I went from being simply her daughter to her champion, her comforter, her spokesperson, her protector, her caregiver. At times it has been stressful but I am honored to have the opportunity to spend time with her and to draw on her wisdom and strength. This is a part of life and I am determined to ‘enjoy the journey'! Come along with me as I navigate these waters and learn processes that will help many in similar situations. My YouTube, FaceBook and TikTok channels feature content designed to help those who are beginning this journey or who are already on this course. Remember, you are not alone and I hope that the information that you find on this website is helpful.
